Decal Removal
To remove an existing decal it is easiest removed with heat This can be done with a hair dryer or heat gun. Be careful not to overheat the surface....you just want to get the decal warm. If the decal is on glass no heat is needed. Just use a razor blade to scrape of the decal. Hold the blade as parallel to the glass as possible. After the decal is removed there will probably be some glue residue left. This is best removed with a mild adhesive remover such as Goo Gone or Goof Off. I recommend using the 3M spray adhesive remover found at automotive stores such as Car Quest. Be sure to test the chemical on a small part of the area to make sure it will not stain or discolor the surface.
